About the event

The purpose of a Technical Rescue Team (TRT) is to provide an  organized rapid rescue that gathers information, deploys the appropriate  rescuers and equipment to perform an effective search and rescue. Participants will attended a five week intensive class that  covered such topics as confined space rescue, trench rescue, technical  rope rescue and swift water rescue. This training will prepare personnel who work for agencies that may respond to calls in thier jurisdiction or to other mutual aid agencies in need of resources that possess these highly specialized skill sets.  Members must complete the 200 hour course that conforms to the curriculem standards as set by the State Fire  Marshal’s Office. Our TRT Program participants will be trained in the use of specialized  equipment and techniques to locate, remove and provide immediate medical  treatment to victims utilizing their training in the following rescue disciplines:

  • Rope Rescue 
  • Water Rescue 
  • Confined Space Rescue 
  • Building Collapse Rescue 
  • Trench Rescue
